Resources

I have listed the information on these resource pages for you to use as a compass to help guide you through your treatment, I hope you find them helpful.  These are all things I actually used during treatment, found to be helpful during treatment, or wished I had known about during treatment 🙂

The Resource page of Dental Tips includes info on tips to help you take care of your teeth and gums during chemo treatment so that you don’t end up needing extra dental work after your cancer treatment.

Meal train is another FREE resource that I highly recommend that you use, it is a FREE very user friendly website that allows a friend or family member to set up a meal delivery schedule so that your friends and family can help you by delivering meals to your family.  I remember it was always uplifting to know that a smiling friend or family member was coming by with dinner and an encouraging hug 🙂

I have included a list of Tips for Cancer Patients that provides you specific products or items that I used during my treatment that I found helpful or that worked really well, hopefully these will help make you more comfortable and also help you take care of your body during chemo and radiation treatment.

I have also included a list of Tips for Those Who Love a Cancer Patient that provides helpful information for friends and family of a cancer patient.  Friends and family want to help but maybe aren’t sure what to do, so this gives them some suggestions on things that they could do to help.

The resource page on wigs will provide you with information on different types of “wigs” so that if you need a wig you will have some basic understanding of the types of wigs that are available before you head off to the wig shop.  It also lists some basic information on how to care for your wig and what to stay away from while wearing your wig, so that your wig doesn’t get ruined the same way my first one did 🙂
